God, forgive me. I don’t know how to forgive.
What is forgiveness?

Not holding something against someone else;
letting offense go.

Not running from hurt,
or ignoring it,
or walling it out and hoping it will go away.

In spite of what people say,
Forgiving is not forgetting.

Forgiveness is not something you do one time, for one occurrence.
It is not something you do every once in a while.

There is a deliberate act of forgiving, with deliberate words,
but saying the words is not really what forgiveness is about.

Forgiveness is an attitude,
a state of mind,
a way of living life.

True forgiveness has a Devine quality about it.
There is something miraculous in it;
something in the heart of the forgiver changes,
and God, only You can change a heart.

Change mine.
